Having a Terrible Time.....

I bought some Artist's Loft water-based markers hoping to learn how to use them.  So far everything I have tried to color with them looks like a kindergartener did it.  Could someone direct me to a blog or tutorial that may help me?  I don't know if the problem is with me or the markers, but it's probably me.  I've never been artistic.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Reny

Easter Bunny and Duck

Cute Card Thursday's challenge this week is to create an Easter card.  Well, I just happened to have some die cuts that I've been waiting to use.  One of them came to me through a blog hop recently and I just love the cuteness of it!  Hop on over to Janets Creative World and see wonderful things she creates using her Cricut.  This adorable bunny and duck combo was part of a prize I won while participating in a Destination blog hop that Janet was a part of, and is it ever cute!  I don't own a cricut, but designs like this would certainly be tempting if I didn't already own a Silhouette.  Thanks, Janet, for providing the focal for my Easter card!

And thanks to all for visiting my blog.  Have a stellar day!

Happy Easter!

I love my Silhouette Cameo!  Have I said that before?  I cut almost every component of this card with it.  The tree, the bunny, the fence and the birds were all cut on the silhouette.  I wasn't sure if I would enter this into a challenge or just send it on to my grandson, but Cute Card Thursday's challenge this week is to make an Easter card, so here it is.

Thanks for visiting my blog and have a great day!

Butterflies

Flutterby Wednesday's challenge is to make a 'get well', 'thinking of you' or 'keep fighting' card with butterflies, fairies or angels on it.  Here is what I came up with.  I love bright colors and I used a lot of them in this card.  I would also like to enter this into the Simon Says 'anything goes' challenge.  They are offering a great prize that I would love to win!

Thanks for stopping in today to visit my blog!  Hope your day is an awesome one!

Thinking of You with Roses

I love the Paper Players sketch challenge this week!  Here is their sketch.

.

And here is my take on it.

This card starts with a cream colored base layered with a deep rose colored print paper.  I used my Martha Stewart edge punch on the bottom of the layered panel.  I then layered a vintage rose print card stock on a solid pink square and affixed my sentiment to the side.  I cut the sentiment using a nestability die and my Big Shot.  I glued the flowers and foliage to the layered square and added green adhesive pearls to the corners.  This I attached to the card with dimensional adhesives.  Beneath this I glued a strip of matching card stock and added a chiffon ribbon to it.  The bow is attached with a brad.  The sentiment is 'Thinking of You'.  I don't know how I will ever mail this card since it is so bulky.  Any suggestions?  I do love the elegant look of this one  though.  I want to enter this into The Paper Players sketch challenge and the Simon Says 'anything goes' challenge.
