Green and cream are beautiful colors, but seem a bit bland by themselves. Never the less, Creative Inspirations has challenged their blog followers to create an item using just these two colors. Flesh tones and hair color were the exception, but since I don't yet have any of those cutesy stamps with boys, girls and animals, and since I'm not good at using coloring yet I decided to use what I have and see how it would go. So here is the card I created. I attempted to make up the lack of color by adding more texture using my embossing folders. The colors don't show as well in the pic. They really are brighter than this. But I do think it will be a nice card to send for some solemn occasion such as sympathy or get well.
This card also meets the requirements for the challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Here is the sketch they provided.
Hi Reny, I think your card is great and the butterflies are lovely - were they punched and dry embossed? I think I am going to have a go at this challenge also. Kind regards Meighan
