The Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge offered up a wonderful sketch with lots of potential this week. I love all their sketches, but this one was especially fun. I would never have thought to do a card like this on my own. but with a little inspiration from their design team, I did manage to formulate an idea. For this project I layered ovals cut on my silhouette and stamped a flower on one and a butterfly on the other. I colored the images with watercolor markers. The base of the card is pink card stock and I affixed a 'lace' panel that is actually paper and was also cut on my silhouette. (I love that machine!) Some chiffon ribbon and matching green pearls were the only other things I used. I put the ovals on with dimensional adhesive and voila, I'm done. I always get a little nervous when I attempt to stamp and color. Those are my weak areas. But I kinda like the clean look of this card overall.
In addition to Tuesday Morning Sketches #138 challenge, I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.
Creative Inspirations challenge #155, anything goes
