The Perfect Sentiments challenge this week is to create a card with 'Thank You' as the sentiment. The twist?..distress some edges. Well, I had to do some research to find out about distressing. I had heard of it, used it at times, but didn't know know exactly what I was doing. After researching I decided to distress the edges of some of my components with my scissors. In the video I watched the card stock showed a nice light colored center after distressing. My card stock is evidently colored all the way through, so all I ended up with were roughed up edges.
I cut the sentiment out with my silhouette and attached it with ribbon and dimensional adhesives, added some pale lavender and yellow flowers, some scalloped trim with pearls and a bow. I used brads as my flower centers and also to hold my double bow together. The blue panel is embossed with dots and the base of the card is craft card stock.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges.
