Happy Birthday!

I love the look of beautifully colored stamped images on cards!  I am in awe of those who can make them look so professional.  Up to now I have shied away from using much in the way of stamped, colored images.  Most of my stamping has been in the area of sentiments.  But this week I have ventured out of my comfort zone to try something new.  I have used stamped, hand colored images on several cards.  Most of them are done with colored pencils.  I am still struggling with markers and such.

I made this sweet little birthday card using rubber stamps and colored pencils.  The bottom front of the card is punched with a Fiskars edge punch.  The images were cut with a nestabilities die, (I don't remember which label it is.)  I used 'limeaide' bakers twine by 'SEW easy', added a bow and button from my stash and a computer generated sentiment.  I think I like it!  It will make a great b-day card for one of my adorable grandkids.

Tuesday Morning Sketches provided the sketch for this great little card and I am entering it into their challenge this week.

Here is my take on this sketch.

I would also like to enter this card into the Simon Says Stamp challenge, 'anything goes'.  They will give one lucky winner a $50 voucher to their fabulous stamp superstore!!!!  Now that's a prize!!

Thanks for visiting my blog today and hope your day is a stellar one!
