Word Art Wednesday is a new blog I've started following. Well, they have been around for a while, but their blog is new to me. Each week they offer a verse of scripture that can be downloaded free of charge to use in our artwork. While they do not require that we use their scripture on our projects to gain entry into their challenges, their verses are awesome and the fonts are just wonderful! Not being so tech savvy, I had to ask for their help in how to download the verses, and they were great to help me. This is the card I made using their verse from Hebrews.
I started with a light blue card base and added this wonderful designed paper which I faux stitched around the perimeter. I printed and cut out the sentiment label with my silhouette cameo making the green label just a tad bit larger than the lavender for layering, then more faux stitching. I felt the background needed something bold and striking, so I found this flower cut-out in my silhouette store, purchased it and cut it out of black cardstock. I mounted it and the sentiment with dimensional foam and added the adhesive pearls on the opposing corners. Lastly, a sweet little green satin bow. Different? Yes! But that's what I love to do. The only thing I would like to see different on it is if the print of the sentiment were darker. I'll have to check my printer settings.
I am entering this card into the following challenges.
Word Art Wednesday #25
Stampin Sisters in Christ #136 'soft pastels'
Simon Says 'anything goes'
Creative Inspirations #160 'anything goes'
